25 leaders gathered at Metro South Association of REALTORS® on January 12th to kick off the year with a bang, carrying out the vision provided by the organization’s strategic plan. For some, it was their first time having a seat at the leadership table. Others renewed their commitment to the membership of the non-profit organization. Key topics for the leadership team’s kickoff meeting included: providing more value and added services for members in 2024, working to provide answers and guidance to members and the public in a changing real estate market, and maintaining the board’s fiscal responsibilities to its members and key stakeholders.
Metro South Association of REALTORS® represents more than 1700 REALTORS® and Affiliates in the South Metro Atlanta, Georgia area: primarily serving Clayton, Henry, and Butts Counties. The trade organization is governed by President Cynthia Brown, President-Elect Kim Freshwater, Immediate Past President B. Anthony White, 5 Vice Presidents, and a board of directors. These officers and directors work in conjunction with staff to be the voice for REALTORS® in their local, state, and national markets. The Association provides networking and educational opportunities to agents, as well as political advocacy across all levels of government that protects private property rights and pro-competitive real estate market practices. Most proudly, Metro South is a cornerstone of its community, finding every opportunity to provide support where it is needed. Volunteers participate in Habitat for Humanity builds, public homebuyer education trade shows, food drives, scholarship opportunities for high school students, and placemaking grants like the one awarded to the City of Jackson, GA in 2023.
2024 will provide its own unique opportunities for growth and improvement across all facets of the real estate profession. Metro South intends to grasp those opportunities and use them to empower its members and the communities it serves. The 2024 leadership team invites you to engage with Metro South on this journey.
