A Managing Broker with Primary membership with MSAR.
This is the most common membership type. REALTORS may be members with multiple associations, but they always have one "home" association. Through that "home" or primary association, they pay local dues, state dues, and national dues. If a member chooses to join another local association in the same state, they would not pay the same state and national dues again, making them secondary members of that association. Most members fall into the Primary REALTOR category.
A Managing Broker with Secondary Membership with MSAR.
This means that you have primary membership with another Association, usually in another state. In this situation, you pay GAR dues with us and NAR dues with your Primary Association.
All Installment Agreement participants, REALTORS and Designated REALTORS®, will be placed in this membership type until the installment plan is complete. REALTORS® and DR's will be designated in notes.
Each REALTOR operates under a member firm. If your firm is joining MSAR for the first time, please also select this option on your application.
This means that you have primary membership with another Association and pay only local dues through MSAR. Your NAR and GAR dues are paid through another Association.
Honorary Membership is granted by the MSAR Board of Directors and subject to the following provisions:
(h) Honorary Members. Honorary Members shall be individuals not engaged in the real estate profession who have performed notable services for the real estate profession, for the Board, or for the public. Honorary membership shall confer only the right to attend meetings and participate in discussions.
