You're Invited: MSAR's General Membership Meeting, Luncheon & Election

This General Membership Meeting represents the culmination of our democratic process of electing next year's leadership team. All MSAR members are encouraged to attend, complimentary. You will have the opportunity to verbally vote on the entire Slate of Nominees, enjoy lunch and fellowship, and hear from our leadership team. Can't wait to see you there!

For Election: MSAR's 2027 Slate of Nominees

MSAR Slate of Nominees:

Pursuant to MSAR's bylaws, policies, and procedures, you may see the Slate of Nominees above that will be elected to fill respective officer and director positions in 2027.

  • Candidates fulfilling their terms: You will see several candidates (not highlighted) that have been previously elected to multi-year terms or are fulfilling a term by virtue of another position. These positions have already been elected and therefore do not need to be re-elected, but are published on the slate for informational purposes.
  • Candidates being elected: In green, you will see all candidates who are to be elected to each respective position. These candidates meet the minimum qualifications and office diversification and have been approved by the nominating committee as of 10/6/2026, chaired by Kim Freshwater
  • The election will take place via a single voice-vote of all MSAR members present at the 10/29/26 General Membership Meeting, excepting any petitions filed or "running from the floor."
  • Vacancies: All vacant positions will be filled by presidential appointment, subject to approval by the board of directors. **

  • NAR Dues: $156

Notes:

  • If a REALTOR® or Affiliate member pays GAR or NAR dues with another local association, they are classified as a "Secondary" member of MSAR, but retain full rights and membership benefits. For secondary members, dues invoices will not reflect the respective NAR or GAR amounts if paid at another association.
  • *NAR Consumer Advertising Campaign Special Assessment: To learn more about this campaign, started in 1998, please visit  2026 Campaign Assets.
  • RPAC Disclaimer: Contributions to RPAC are not deductible for federal income tax purposes. GARPAC contributions are voluntary and are used for political purposes. The Georgia Association of REALTORS® and its local associations will not favor or disadvantage any member because of the amount contributed, and you may refuse to contribute without reprisal. 70% of each contribution is split between Georgia RPAC to support state and local political candidates and Georgia RIAC for issues mobilization and education. 30% is sent to National RPAC to support federal candidates and is charged against your limits under 52 U.S.C. 30116.

GAR is proud to recognize the REALTORS® who make a lasting impact on our association, their communities, and the real estate profession. Explore the award categories at the bottom of this email and submit an application or nominate by Sunday, November 1, 2026.

 

Applications and nominations are still open for GAR’s annual awards, including the Hall of Fame, Good Neighbor Award, and YPN Young Achiever Award. This is your opportunity to help us celebrate outstanding Georgia REALTORS® whose leadership, service, and achievements deserve statewide recognition.

 

Following the application deadline, the GAR Special Recognition Committee and Hall of Fame Advisory Committee will review submissions and select this year’s honorees. Award recipients will be recognized during the Awards Luncheon at the 2027 Inaugural & Legislative Conference.

    The Hall of Fame recognizes members of GAR who have demonstrated consistent support of the REALTOR® organization for at least 30 years, and who have had a strong influence in the real estate industry. These individuals set the bar for the Hall of Fame, having proven themselves as champions of the REALTOR® association and captains of industry.

  • YPN Young Achiever Award

  • Good Neighbor Award

     

    The Good Neighbor Award was established by GAR in 2010 to recognize and honor GAR members who are outstanding volunteers in their community.
