Leader Spotlight - Joshua Lavender
(It's his Birthday! 🎂)

Joshua Lavender has been a REALTOR® member with MSAR for just under 3 years. In that time, he has worked diligently to make an impact as an emerging leader. In 2025, he took on the role of chairperson for our Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, & Action Committee, a role he has carried into 2026. Under his leadership, the committee successfully implemented MSAR's annual Cultural Bites & Insights event - designed to celebrate the diverse cultures represented within our membership and communities over food and fun. Joshua leads the I.D.E.A. committee with grace and respectfully facilitates conversations as the committee works to foster a culture of belonging. In 2026, Joshua was appointed as a Local Director for MSAR. He represents our members at Board of Directors meetings, votes, and participates in discussions about the governance and future of our association.
Question: What's something interesting about Joshua?
- In 2015, Joshua was drafted to play professional baseball. Until his retirement in 2024, he played in Japan, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Australia, and the United States. While in Australia, he used the off season to come home and play for the beloved Savannah Bananas!
